The Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri
The perennial end-all, be-all of the Kansas City shopping scene is the Country Club Plaza, located in the blocks surrounding 48th Street and Nichols Road in Kansas City, Missouri. Crown Center
Crown Center contains shops and restaurants in a three level retail center, office buildings, a residential community and two of Kansas City's finest hotels, the 731-room Hyatt Regency Crown Center and the 729-room Westin Crown Center, surrounded by parks, fountains and year-round entertainment and events. Independence Center
Just west of I-70 in Independence, Missouri. More than 150 stores. Anchored by Dillard's Clearance, Oshman's SuperSports USA, Jeepers! (for kids), Burlington Coat Factory, and Dickinson Theatres. Hours: Mon-Sat 10am-9pm and Sun noon-6pm
Zona Rosa
The Zona Rosa has oodles of retails shops-- many geared toward tweens, teens and young 20-somethings. Look for shops like Forever 21, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Hot Topic, AE, and The Gap. But don't let the teen theme detour you, there are pleantly of upscale retailers like Ann Taylor Loft, Cache, DSW, and Barnes and Noble there as well. Stores are open Monday through Thursday 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM , and Sunday Noon - 6:00 PM.w
The Great Mall of the Great Plains
I-35 at K-7 & 151st Street, Olathe, Kansas. More than 100 stores. Anchored by Dillard's, Macy's., and Sears. Hours: Mon-Sat 10am-9pm and Sun noon-5:30pm.
Oak Park Mall
95th Street & Quivira Road, Overland Park, Kansas. Largest mall in the metro area with 170 stores and restaurants. Anchored by Macy's, Montgomery Ward, and J.C. Penney. Hours: Mon-Sat 10am-9pm and Sun noon-6pm.
Town Center Plaza
119th Street & Nall, Leawood, Kansas. Largest outdoor mall in the Johnson County area with about 50 specialty stores on one level. Anchored by Barnes and Noble. Hours: Mon-Sat 10am-9pm Sun noon-6pm.
