

Paint Kansas City By Numbers
We all know the song lyric, “Corny as Kansas in August.” And while we’re proud of our cities wholesome reputation, we want to remind you that Kansas City is living at its best. Check the rankings of “best places to…” and you’ll find Kansas City shines through on most lists
First of all, three of Kansas City’s lovely metropolitan areas, Olathe, Overland Park, and Lee’s Summit (MO), were named to CNN Money magazine’s 100 Great American Towns. In fact, all three were in the top 50 of the list. In addition, Kansas City was named one of ten All-American Cities.
For example, looking for that special someone? Kansas City was recently on Forbes magazine’s list of The Best Cities for Singles. One of our exciting, metropolitan areas, Lawrence, KS, was found to have a high percentage of singles, according to CNN’s Money magazine’s survey of cities with the highest percentage of singles. And these Lawrence, Kansas singles are well-educated, according to a ranking of most educated cities.
Not to be outdone, Kansas City was named the sixth (out of 50) smartest place to live on Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine’s survey of 367 metropolitan areas. In additions, both Kansas City and Lawrence found themselves on Expansion Management’s list of top ten best school districts in the nation.
Well, now that you’ve moved here to take advantage of Kansas City's wonderful school districts and surroundings, you’ll need to find a place to live. Lucky for you, Kansas City is ranked 16th out of 40 in Expansion Management’s list of top real estate markets. You’ll have no problem finding a great home, because Kansas City is also on Sales & Marketing Management’s list of best market in which to sell.
Where are you going to work in Kansas City? Entrepreneur magazine named Kansas City the number one place to start a business in the Midwest. Expansion Management magazine obviously concurs, naming our great city a 5-Star Business Opportunity Metro. Lawrence, KS, received the same rating.
Kansas City’s great economy is also well-known. Kansas overall reflected growth better than the national average. Kansas City ranks 10th out of 361 metropolitan areas for economic strength.
Living in the Kansas City area wouldn’t be complete without having places to make great memories with your friends and family. Sports fans can enjoy watching our Kansas City Chiefs play in the 3rd best NFL stadium, Arrowhead Stadium, as ranked by FOX sports. Into the music or visual arts scene? Kansas City has also been named a Top 25 Arts Destination by AmericanStyle’s magazine’s reader’s poll.
